Rodrigo C. Rivera


Rodrigo C. Rivera, M.A. has devoted nearly three decades to academia, participating in both local and international endeavors. Currently, he is a full-time faculty member and assistant professor at the De La Salle - College of Saint Benilde, School of Multidisciplinary Studies, where he also serves as the Curriculum Associate for the college's Center for Faculty Development. His previous responsibilities included the coordination of the college's learning enhancement program and the leadership of the English Department. He has most recently served as a curriculum writer for the institution's most recent academic program. In addition, he has facilitated discussions on cross-cultural understanding for the Japan-Southeast Asian Youth Program and served as a commissioned courseware writer for Japan's Ministry of Education. He is a communication trainer who is accredited by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Institute. He conducts a variety of communication and development training sessions for corporate professionals and academicians. His primary areas of research include instructional technology, social communication, curriculum development, and cultural communication. He has published a number of research works and actively participates in local and international conferences. He has graduated from Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila with a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication and an M.A. in Communication Management. Presently, he is pursuing a Ph.D. in Communication at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines-Manila. His dissertation focuses on the knowledge construction of Artificial Intelligence in higher education, employing a social deconstructionist grounded theory technique.
